In Rennes, visitors who have enough time will find it rewarding to walk around some of the little streets that escaped the 1720 fire. They are mostly to be found to the south of the Cathedral such as in Rue des Dames and Rue du Chapitre. It has some very worth watching attractions.

By Air: Rennes airport has many flights to and from Southampton and Belfast operated by Flybe and Cork with Aerlingus which has good offers. The airport is less than 5km away from the city center, and bus No 57 links it with the city. Saint-Malo Airport is only One hour away, Dinard's airport offers other cheap options.By Rail: Gare de Rennes is the easiest way to get to Rennes from Paris through Gare Montparnasse. There are TGVs almost every 30-35 minutes and the ride is just 2hrs in total. The Rennes Train Station also provides train service to Nantes, Quimper, St. Brieuc, and other cites in Brittany.By Road: Rennes has also an international and local bus station, which is next to the rail station. This is a place from where buses such as Euro Lines arrive in the city.
